Kathakali — the classical dance-drama of Kerala — is one of India's most visually striking art forms. Performers spend hours applying elaborate makeup and donning ornate costumes to embody characters from Hindu epics. The vivid green face, the dramatic eyes, the towering crown — each element carries centuries of meaning.

At SiMiS Nexus, we wanted to bring this living heritage into everyday expression. Our Kathakali Necklace Set captures the iconic face of the Kathakali performer — rendered in hand-painted detail on a terracotta pendant, framed in gold, and set against a halo of granules and red lacquer.

The matching Jhumka earrings carry the same Kathakali motif in miniature — so every detail of the set tells one coherent story. When you wear this set, you are not just wearing jewellery. You are wearing a tradition.

Each piece is individually handcrafted, meaning no two are exactly alike. Small variations in the hand-painted details are a mark of authenticity — a reminder that a human hand, not a machine, brought this to life.

💧

Avoid Water

Remove before bathing, swimming, or washing hands. Water can affect the hand-painted finish and cord over time.

🧴

No Perfume

Apply perfume and lotions before wearing. Chemicals in sprays can dull the gold finish and affect enamel colours.

📦

Store Carefully

Keep in a soft pouch or jewellery box away from direct sunlight. Store separately to avoid scratches.

🧹

Clean Gently

Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each use. Do not use harsh cleaners or ultrasonic cleaning devices.

☀️

Avoid Heat

Keep away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat, which can fade the vibrant colours.

Handle with Love

This is handcrafted art. Treat it gently and it will stay beautiful for years. Each piece is unique and irreplaceable.
